Iraq's Ministry of Communications has announced a new milestone in its efforts to develop the postal sector: the country's return to the EMS Cooperative, part of the Universal Postal Union, after an absence of more than ten years.

The return was achieved through the efforts of the General Company for Post and Savings. The step marks Iraq's renewed participation in the international postal services system and strengthens its presence in international forums across key economic sectors.

The move is an important stage in modernizing the postal sector. It is expected to improve operational efficiency, speed up the transport and exchange of express mail, strengthen international partners' confidence, and create new opportunities for cooperation with member countries.
