The Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission, Dr. Blasim Salem, received a delegation from Asiacell, in the presence of Board Member Dana Asaad, to discuss key issues related to Iraq’s telecommunications sector.
The meeting addressed the current level of services and the challenges facing the company in delivering certain services, along with mechanisms to resolve these issues. It also highlighted the importance of issuing necessary regulatory frameworks to enhance sector performance.
Discussions further covered modern technologies that can improve service quality and meet user expectations, in addition to reviewing current frequency allocations and emphasizing the need to provide additional spectrum to boost network efficiency and service quality.
Both sides also explored Asiacell’s future projects, particularly in collaborating with Iraqi universities to establish advanced technical laboratories aimed at equipping students with the skills required for the evolving job market and rapid technological developments.
