As part of its efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure, Iraq's Ministry of Communications has expanded fiber-optic internet services in Diyala and Wasit provinces.
In Diyala, new fiber cabinets were delivered to support Jalawla district, providing a total capacity of 816 subscribers. This step aims to improve internet quality and expand service coverage across the region.
Similarly, Wasit’s Communications and Informatics Directorate received fiber cabinets to serve the Al-Jihad neighborhood in Kut district, in accordance with the technical standards set by the Iraq's General Company for Communications and Informatics.
These developments are part of a broader strategy to modernize Iraq’s telecommunications sector, enhance service efficiency, and meet the growing demand for high-speed internet.
