The media office of the Iraqi Ministry of Education announced that 98% of the project to electronically archive documents and certificate records has been completed at the General Directorate of Education in Al Muthanna, under the supervision of Director General Riyadh Rahim Tuaima and Exams Department Director Jalil Nughaymish Al-Ziyadi.

According to the statement, the initiative included converting paper-based records dating from 1969 to 2025 into a fully integrated digital database, through the efforts of the Documents and Certificates Division, as part of broader administrative modernization efforts.

The ministry stated that the digitization process will help speed up the issuance of certificates and official documents, improve accuracy, reduce errors, and enhance administrative efficiency while minimizing reliance on traditional paper archiving systems.

The new system also adopts barcode technology to eliminate paper-based authentication procedures and simplify services for citizens, reducing time and effort in processing transactions as part of the government’s digital transformation strategy.
