The Director of Military Training conducted a closed-circuit video conference meeting with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Mission, attended by officials from both sides, to explore ways of enhancing cooperation in military training and technical development programs supporting Iraqi forces.

The meeting addressed several key issues, most notably the development of infrastructure for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) warfare laboratories, as well as the installation of advanced information technology systems at the Military Intelligence and Security School to support remote training and e-learning platforms.

Both parties also reviewed the mechanism for transferring and receiving responsibilities from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Mission according to approved plans and timelines extending through the end of 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen the readiness and technical capabilities of Iraqi military institutions.

The two sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and joint cooperation to enhance the efficiency of Iraqi forces and reinforce the strategic partnership with NATO. The Director of Military Training also expressed appreciation for the mission’s ongoing support in training and technical development initiatives.
