In a significant step reflecting the rapid shift toward smart education, the Information and Communications Center has launched a series of specialized training programs focused on integrating artificial intelligence technologies into institutional operations, under a strategic vision led by Eng. Duraid Dhari Al-Hayali, Director General of Educational Planning.

This initiative comes within a broader strategic direction to build an integrated digital education system capable of keeping pace with global advancements, by incorporating AI tools into educational planning, data management, and performance analysis. This will enhance decision-making efficiency and improve the overall quality of educational outcomes.

Eng. Nizar Al-Haidari, Director of the Information and Communications Center, confirmed that AI programs have already entered the implementation phase through scheduled training sessions targeting ministry staff, with plans to expand to directorates of education across Baghdad and all Iraqi provinces. He emphasized that this marks a major turning point in the educational system.

He added that these programs rely on leveraging big data and smart technologies to develop a flexible learning environment that meets modern demands and supports innovation among educational staff. He also noted that this initiative lays the foundation for a new phase of “smart governance” in education through the development of integrated digital systems.

Al-Haidari stressed that artificial intelligence is no longer an option but a strategic necessity to ensure sustainable educational development. He further explained that the Center, in coordination with relevant entities, is working on phased implementation plans that include staff training and the development of digital infrastructure.
